Christmas Memories - our children hanging popcorn on a blue spruce in our back yard. The youngest is a high school senior now, and the spruce is nearly 40 feet tall. Why says memories aren't important?

Special Christmas Memories, From Family Christmas OnlineTM

A big part of Christmas is remembering past Christmas blessings. Yes, many families, including our own, have suffered hardships that make the Christmas season "hurt" in one way or another. But just about everybody has positive memories of Christmas that are worth recalling - and maybe musing over - as Christmas approaches.

For 2009, we're starting a collection of special Christmas memories, and we want your input, including photographs if possible. What was special about Christmas for you as you were growing up? Shopping downtown? Unexpected visits or gifts? Family coming together? "Midnight" Mass? Setting up treasured family decorations?

We're starting off with a few of our own memories, which will probably stretch from the prosaic to the profound, but we want your stories, too, even if it's just a paragraph or a worn photo that brings back memories. At some point we will probably receive too many to use them all, but for now, we have a lot of space in this "department" and we know there are a lot of folks with great Christmas memories to share

You'll notice that a few of the articles listed here are from other "departments" of this site, but we figure they're worth a look if you haven't seen them yet. See if these articles don't get the old "memory juices" stirring:

Please get in touch and let us know what memories you'd like to share with our readers.
