Post subject:  Ben Johnson's Masque of Christmas

I came across this while I was researching a larger work - Washington Irving's "Old Christmas," which I am also trying to get ready. I learned during my research that Irving, writing in 1816 or so was really writing about what Christmas was like in 1616. This is one of the works he used as an example - a silly Christmas play written by one of the country's best writers for the court of King James I. With explanatory notes, of course.
