A reader wrote to say:
I am an elementary school counselor and would love to play the recording of "Stubby Pringle's Christmas" to my students. Can you tell me where I can obtain a copy?
I replied:
Sorry I didn't get back to you in time to see this. Hallmark has never put the tape or DVD out. But back when it was first broadcast, someone taped it on video tape recorder. So it's pretty low resolution and it starts AFTER the credits, and it's not, technically legal.
Later that person copied it to digital. A few folks have made it available (under the counter) for those who really want access. I have seen a copy of that copy. When you wrote me, I started trying to track one down, but ran out of time.
Now I am seeing it posted on You-Tube by at least two different people. I think this version is the better of the two:

In case Hallmark sees them there and files to have them removed, you could get someone savvy to help you downoad the better version onto your hard drive, which you could then burn to DVD if you so chose.
Sorry it's too late for this year.
