Post subject:  Who here is the expert when it comes to Xmas tree lighting?

I have a question for whoever is the expert when it comes to lighting Christmas trees. As I mentioned in another post, I have an all-white tree that I want to decorate with all-blue lights. I want pale blue/ice blue lights. The ones I bought a few years ago are deep blue LED that over-bathes the entire room in deep blue light, turning it into a giant neon blueberry. I have some old-style blue lights, but there's just a few strands - they aren't enough to light the tree, plus they look too white and they have a reddish glow where the sockets are, which ruins the color scheme. I'm short on cash so I can't spend $100+ on lights. My idea was to find some icicle lights with that nice pale blue/ice blue color and then wrap just the front 2/3rds of the tree. It's the one in the bedroom and stands in a corner, so I assume the back could remain unlit and still loo good. In other words, I was thinking of winding the lights across the 2/3rds or so of the tree that you can actually see. I figured if I worked them into the branches, it would look fine. Or am I overlooking something? I was thinking of getting these:

Icicle Lights

and maybe getting just 5 boxes (that would come to 350 lights) for about $35. Would that be enough to light up just the front 2/3rds of a 7' tree? Would that come out looking ok?
